A wide variety of training opportunities exist for military members and their families. Whether you need job related training or want to pursue college credits and a degree, here are some resources to help you start on your journey. Navy College and Fleet & Family Support Program staff can also assist you with resources and information.

Military Resources

Navy College - The Navy College provides Sailors with opportunities to earn college degrees through a variety of options. The program's mission is to provide continual academic support to Sailors while they pursue a technical or college degree, regardless of their location or duty station.

My Navy Portal- Provides Navy wide connectivity via a single, integrated on-line learning network with access throughout the world.

Navy Education and Training Command - Mission to develop the workforce through education and training that builds personal, professional, and leadership skills.

Service Member Opportunity Colleges (SOC) - an association of colleges and universities that have agreed to work together to make it easier for service members and their family members to enroll in college programs by simplifying credit transfers and reducing residency requirements. These schools also offered traditional and distance-learning delivery in popular academic areas, and unique degrees tailored to military experience and training.

Tutor.com - Get help from a professional tutor anytime you need it. FREE for eligible military service members in the Army, Marines, Navy or Air Force and their dependents. Tutors are online 24/7 and available to help in more than 16 subjects.

Access Washington - Colleges and Universities

Access Washington - Community Technology Programs - Community Technology Programs provide training, access to information and opportunities to use technology tools.

Scholarship Programs

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society - Education Assistance - The Society’s Education Assistance Program offers interest-free loans and grants for undergraduate/post-secondary education at an accredited 2- or 4-year education, technical or vocational institution in the United States.

National Military Family Association: Military Spouse Scholarships - The mission of this scholarship program is to help prepare military spouses for meaningful employment and to better contribute to their family’s financial security.
