Advanced School Enrollment in Washington State

On April 19, Governor Jay Inslee signed SHB 1210, the School Enrollment - Nonresident Children from Military Families Bill. This bill allows school districts to accept applications for advanced enrollment from students of military families enrolling in Washington's public schools prior to their arrival in the state. 2019 Armed Forces Men's Soccer Championship Concludes

On a brisk April morning, several white shuttles arrived on Naval Station Everett (NSE) ferrying the members of the All-Navy, All-Army, All-Air Force, and All-Marine soccer team to compete in the 2019 Armed Forces Men’s Soccer Championship, closing in a championship game, April 20. In the end, after seven days of single round-robin play, the All-Army soccer team came away with a victory in the championship match with Navy finishing in 3rd place overall in the tournament.

NW Army-Navy Flag Football

The 19th annual Army/Navy flag football game was held at Joint Base Lewis-McChord’s Cowan Stadium. The game, which is held ahead of the college football rivalry game between the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Military Academy, was won by Navy 20-14, marking the sixth consecutive victory for Navy and 13th victory in 20 games.
