Costen-Turner Recreation Area

This expanse of land is named for Lt. Tom Costen and Lt. Charlie Turner of VA-155, whose A-6 Intruder was shot down over Iraq on the first night of Desert Storm. The park was dedicated in 1995.

Organized groups can reserve the gazebo, which features picnic areas, the quarter-mile track, a softball field, and children's play area. The softball field is reserved through the Whidbey Fitness Center at 360-257-2420.
