Join NRNW Navy Gold Star Program Coordinators and guest speaker Carolyn Ripper, LMFT, FFSC Child Counselor during these 60-minute conversations about what to expect when your child is grieving.

Child Grief with Infants and Young Children - Tuesday, Nov. 2 • 5 p.m.
This webinar will explore the emotional impact of the death of a loved one on very young children, from birth
to age 4. Special focus on behaviors to watch for, questions and confusion they may have, and the benefit of
child-led play and routines to enhance feelings of safety and well-being.


Child Grief and School-Age Children - Tuesday, Nov. 9 • 5 p.m.
This webinar will explore the emotional impact of the death of a loved one on school-age children, from ages
5 to 10. Special focus on cognitive and behavioral response to grief, and the benefits of routines, 1:1 time and
peer interaction to help emotionally support this age group after a loss.


Child Grief with Tweens and Teens - Tuesday, Nov. 16 • 5 p.m.
This webinar will explore the emotional impact of the death of a loved one on tweens and teens, ages 11-19.
Special focus on adolescent cognitive and behavioral responses to grief, supporting positive mental health
in their grief journey, and helping them to find healthy emotional outlets and support.
