NAS Whidbey Island will open its doors to the public with an Open House event on August 22, 2026, including a Flight Line 5K! This event is open to all, including non-military affiliated visitors.
PLEASE NOTE: All visitors require Real ID. Please read below for more information.

7 a.m. 5K Registration Starts
8 a.m. 5K Event Starts

DIRECTIONS AND SECURITY:
All guests should use Charles Porter Gate to enter the base; you'll be directed where to park.
Due to security measures, the following items are not allowed on the base: drugs or drug paraphernalia (including marijuana products), alcohol, bags larger than 12"x6"x12", backpacks, weapons (including pocket knives), coolers and pets.
Permitted Items: strollers, diaper bags, small women's purses, wheelchairs, bottled water, cameras and video recorders.
REAL ID
PLEASE NOTE: All visitors ages 18 and older without base access will still need to present proper identification at the gates that meet the Real ID requirements. This includes enhanced Washington driver's license, U.S. Passport, or passport card. For more information on Real ID requirements, please click here.
