Annual NAVMAG Indian Island Deer Run

The Deer Run is a family-friendly event that offers a 5K race and a 1-mile race for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. You’ll get to enjoy the natural beauty of Indian Island, one of the few times it is open to the general public, and maybe even spot some deer along the way!

SATURDAY, Sept. 16
Base opens to community race participants | 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

***Non-Military patrons are welcome to participate! You will be able to register on the day of the event. Please bring a valid ID.***
***The base is open to the public starting at 8:30 a.m.; the base will close to the public at 1 p.m.***

The Naval Magazine Indian Island annual run has two distances:

1 mile - pavement: strollers are allowed. 
5K - all-terrain: no strollers allowed.
Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed on the installation. 

The top three male and female participants will receive awards.
Commemorative T-shirts are for sale onsite only while sizes and supplies last for $20.
